Are you okay?
Emma hasn’t really been replying much these past few weeks.
I didn’t want to keep spamming her with “are you ok?”, but I couldn’t shake the feeling something was up.
From the flowers, it was pretty clear she's down. So we asked her to join us tonight, no pressure, no big questions.
She didn’t have to explain anything; we just responded to what we could see.
How was school?
When I get home from school, I’m completely wiped.
Everything annoys me, but I don’t want to talk about it. I just go to my room and hope nobody asks how my day was.
Now my parents get it when I’m having a rough day.
I don’t have to explain anything. They see my flowers wilting and give me some space.
How was your day?
When he’s on his way home, I never know which version of him I’m getting. Exhausted, annoyed, or totally fine.
One tiny thing can ruin the whole evening.
Clearly a good day. Time to celebrate!
I'm fine.
I’m on the tram, headphones blasting metal because I’m still pissed after that test.
I’m just scrolling Instagram on autopilot. Everything annoys me.
Augmy can tell it’s not “nothing.” Music, screen time, and sleep from the last few days changes my flowers.
Before I even get home, my friends can see my garden isn’t doing hot today. Game night!
Say it without words
Gardens hint at how others feel. They bloom as mood improves and sway as intensity grows.
Most commonly asked questions
Can I choose who I share with?
Yes. You can group people by closeness and decide what each circle (group) sees. This replaces the outdated "friend list" system.
What exactly is being shared?
Just the latest flower state. Calculated as a relative change in your mood compared to the days before. We intend to advance this further in the future: splitting short-term (a flower) and long-term (a tree) changes.
How does automatic analysis work?
It combines music, weather, screen time, and health (smart watch/ring). You associate the different playlists, artists, and apps you use with feelings. Then, in the background, it is evaluated and estimates your mood based on the amount of listening time/use time.
With health, we use custom anonymized machine learning models. Always more to come, especially when it comes to personalization.
The raw data and the context we use is never stored in our databases. Instead, it stays in the app.
What if the analysis is wrong?
Any hour of the day can be altered in your calendar or through a diary. We work on improving our system and bringing personalization, which will significantly improve things in the future.
Is it secure?
Augmy is built on end-to-end encryption. So sharing your mood is the same as sending a message through WhatsApp or Signal.
How do you handle my data?
We don't, and never will, sell any of your data, nor will we provide it to any third party. Whenever possible, your data stays on the device, or it is encrypted en route and minimally stored.
What about therapists?
The most impactful actors in improving mental well-being are you, people around you, and professionals. We intend to bring all three together and focus on motivating all parties involved. For example, these include family plans, monthly recaps, gamification, and professional reviews with personalized recommendations.
